The Curlinator works on ALL hair types: Short, Long, Thick, Thin, curly, straight or fine hair. The most important requirement is to have enough hair to pull back.
The Curlinator works on ALL ages of Girls! One size fits All!
Using the Curlinator for short hair:
When putting the Curlinator into the hair pull your hair back with your hands into a pony in the center of the head. Then pull the hair through the center of the Curlinator and immediately give it one twist under to secure the hair. Then slowly slide the Curlinator straight away from the head until you are within 2” of the ends of the hair and roll it under all the way up until it feels very secure, then crisscross the ends and choose if you would like to show or hide the pattern.
Using the Curlinator for long hair:
When putting the Curlinator into the hair pull your hair back with your hands into a pony in the center of the head. If the length of the hair is half way down the back or to the waist, pull the hair through the center of the Curlinator and immediately give it one twist under to secure the hair. Then begin to slide the Curlinator down the length of the hair in an upward angle away from the head. You will need to stretch your arms out in order to get close to the ends of the hair. Begin to roll the hair under, while tightening the sides of the hair by winding the hair around the Curlinator until it comes in nice and tight on the sides. Then roll the hair all the way up and decide if you want to show or hide the fabric by crossing the ends over each other, or by tucking the ends behind the bun.
NOTE: If the hair is longer than waist length you can pull the hair over the shoulder, put the hair through the center opening, begin to roll the hair under until you reach your shoulders and then complete the roll behind your head.
NOTE: Another option is to pull only half of the pony (length wise) through the center opening so that your hair is now half the length (which we call a ‘loop through’) and once again slide the Curlinator down the hair, and roll it all the way up and either criss cross or tuck it behind the bun
Using the Curlinator for layered hair:
When putting the Curlinator into the hair pull your hair back with your hands into a pony in the center of the head. Then pull the hair through the center of the Curlinator and immediately give it one twist under to secure the hair. Then begin to slide the Curlinator away from the head allowing the layers to fall (only if you are trying to curl the hair). Once you are close to within 2” of the ends of the hair, begin to roll the hair under while wrapping the layers around the Curlinator as you are rolling it up. Once you have rolled it all the way up until you can’t roll anymore, criss cross the ends and decide if you want to show the ends by folding one side over the other (which locks it into place) or tucking it behind the bun.
Using the Curlinator as a curling tool:
I find that the best results come when you start with freshly cleaned and brushed hair that is 90% dry. If the hair is already dry, it works great if you slightly mist it, or just apply a small amount of water to your hands and dampen the hair some. Proceed to put the Curlinator in the hair and make sure to slide the Curlinator to within 2” of the ends of the hair to get a perfect spiral curl. Allow for it to stay in the hair for 1+ hours. The longer that you leave it in the hair, the curlier the hair will get. These are comfortable to sleep in as well. If you put it in at night before you go to sleep you will wake up with beautiful curls.
NOTE: The key to a secure bun is to roll it up nice and snug
